Legal operations that run on email and Word documents are an efficiency problem waiting to be solved.

Law firms spending attorney time on administrative coordination, document management, and status updates are spending premium billing rates on tasks that software handles in seconds. Client portals, matter management, and document automation built for the legal workflow.

The problem
Law firm where client communication, document sharing, and matter status are managed through email and manual processes — consuming attorney time on administration

Law firms operate at the intersection of high-value expertise and administrative overhead. Attorneys bill at $300–$800/hour. Administrative coordination — scheduling client updates, managing document versions, answering status questions — consumes a portion of that billing rate on tasks that software should handle.

The common law firm software problems:

Client communication. Every client status question arrives as an email. The attorney either answers it (billing rate wasted on administrative communication) or a paralegal answers it (manual lookup, manual response). A client portal with live matter status eliminates the majority of these inquiries.

Document management. Documents shared via email, with versioning tracked by filename convention. "Final_v3_reviewed.docx" is a failure mode. A document management portal with version control is the standard — and few small and mid-size firms have one.

Intake. New client intake happening via email and phone. The data collected during intake manually re-entered into the matter management system. An online intake form connected directly to the matter management system eliminates the double-entry.

Billing. Firms using outdated billing systems disconnected from time tracking. The billable hours tracked in one system, manually transferred to invoices in another. An integrated time-to-invoice workflow eliminates the manual transfer.

What we build

Client-facing portal and internal matter management tools that reduce administrative overhead, improve client experience, and keep attorney time focused on legal work

Client portal

Secure portal where clients can view matter status, access documents, receive and sign documents, and message the firm — without email threads. Matter status updated by the attorney once; clients see it in real time.

Document management

Version-controlled document storage with client-facing delivery. E-signature integration via DocuSign or PandaDoc for agreements and retainers.

Intake automation

Online intake form connected to the matter management system. Conflict check and client onboarding workflow automated.

Time and billing

Billable time tracked per matter. Invoice generated from tracked time. Stripe payment collection for retainer replenishment and invoice payment.

Matter management dashboard

Internal dashboard showing matter status, upcoming deadlines, outstanding invoices, and team workload.

Why fixed-price

Why Fixed-Price Matters Here

Law firms understand billable hour billing — and also understand why fixed-price engagements exist. Fixed scope, fixed price.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Client data in the portal is stored with encryption at rest and in transit, access controlled by matter-level permissions, and never shared across client matters. The data handling satisfies standard legal ethics requirements for client confidentiality.

If the firm uses Clio, MyCase, or a similar cloud-based practice management tool, API integration is available. If the firm's current system doesn't have an API (older on-premise systems), the portal operates as the new system of record.

Client portal + matter management: from $28k. Full operations platform with billing integration: from $40k. Fixed-price.
