A logistics dashboard that shows you what's happening to every shipment, right now, without asking anyone.

We build operations dashboards for logistics companies — live shipment tracking boards, driver performance metrics, lane profitability views, and the carrier scorecards that show you which carriers are delivering on time and which ones aren't. Fixed scope, fixed price.

The problem
You have data in your TMS, your carrier portals, and your accounting system. The question is always the same — what's actually happening right now, and where are we profitable? The answer is always the same: I need to pull that manually.

Logistics visibility is the industry's oldest problem and its most persistent one. The data exists — carriers have tracking APIs, TMSs have shipment records, drivers have phones — but it's distributed across too many systems for a dispatcher or an operations manager to have a real-time view without actively pulling it together. The result is that most logistics operations make decisions based on data that's hours or days old: the morning status report, the afternoon check-call round, the end-of-day TMS reconciliation.

The cost of poor visibility is measured in missed service failures. A late shipment that's caught 6 hours before the delivery window can often still be recovered — expedite the carrier, notify the customer, offer a solution. A late shipment caught 30 minutes before the window or after the fact cannot be recovered. The difference between those two scenarios is visibility lead time. A real-time tracking dashboard doesn't prevent late shipments, but it converts after-the-fact discovery into advance warning.

At the business level, logistics dashboards answer the profitability questions that most freight brokers can't answer quickly: which lanes are we making money on? Which carriers are costing us money in claims and service failures? What's our accessorial cost as a percentage of revenue? These questions require data from the TMS and the accounting system combined — a combination that's impossible without an analytics layer.

What we build

A logistics operations dashboard that gives your team live shipment status, on-time performance by carrier, load profitability by lane, and driver metrics — without a daily report, a check call, or a spreadsheet.

Live shipment tracking board

All active loads displayed with carrier, origin, destination, status, last location, and ETA. Status updates from carrier API or MacroPoint/FourKites GPS tracking refresh continuously. Loads approaching delivery deadline highlighted. Loads with active exceptions (breakdown, weather delay) flagged.

Carrier scorecard

On-time pickup rate and on-time delivery rate by carrier over rolling 30/60/90 day windows. Claims count and claims as percentage of revenue by carrier. Average load count and average rate per mile by carrier. Used for carrier negotiations and routing guide management.

Lane profitability analysis

Revenue, carrier cost, and gross margin per lane (origin-destination pair). Accessorial costs (fuel surcharge, detention, layover) broken out per lane. Volume trend by lane. Identifies which lanes to price more aggressively and which lanes to stop taking.

Driver performance metrics

For asset-based or owner-operator fleets: miles per week, on-time performance, HOS compliance status from ELD data, and fuel efficiency per driver. Flag drivers below performance thresholds.

Financial summary

Weekly and monthly revenue, gross margin, and load count. AR aging by customer. Top 10 customers by revenue and by margin. Invoices pending and average invoice-to-payment days. Built on Next.js, Chart.js/Recharts, Postgres analytical schema, TMS API integrations, and MacroPoint/FourKites for tracking data.

Why fixed-price

Why Fixed-Price Matters Here

Logistics operators work on thin margins where operational efficiency is directly profitable. A dashboard investment that's scoped, priced, and delivered in a defined timeframe is evaluable against the operations cost it reduces. Fixed scope, fixed price.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

The dashboard is built alongside your existing TMS — it reads data from the TMS via API or data export, aggregates it with carrier tracking data, and displays it in a purpose-built view. No TMS replacement required.

For carriers with tracking APIs (FedEx, UPS), direct API integration. For LTL and FTL carriers without direct APIs, MacroPoint or FourKites GPS tracking. For carriers without any tracking capability, driver-submitted status updates via a web form or SMS confirmation.

Customer-facing shipment tracking is a separate interface from the internal operations dashboard — a customer portal that shows the customer their specific shipments with carrier tracking updates. We build this as a separate scope item alongside the internal dashboard if required.

Live shipment tracking board, carrier scorecard, lane profitability, and financial summary typically runs $30k–$60k. Real-time tracking integrations and customer-facing portal add scope. Fixed-price.

8 to 12 weeks for a production logistics operations dashboard with live tracking and analytics.
