The problem
You're spending $3k per event on printed programmes that are out of date by opening day and in the bin by day two. A branded app solves the programme problem, the networking problem, and the sponsor visibility problem simultaneously.

Event management companies face the same pressure every year: attendees expect a seamless digital experience, sponsors expect measurable engagement, and your team needs a way to push last-minute schedule changes without reprinting or hand-delivering updates to 2,000 people. Eventbrite handles registration. The programme is a PDF or a paper handout. The "app" is often a Whova or Hopin template that looks generic, has your event sponsor listed alongside 50 other events, and gives you no real analytics on sponsor engagement.

The event companies that command premium sponsor packages — the ones where a sponsor tier includes "dedicated push notification to all 3,000 attendees" — have their own branded app. Not a template. Their brand, their domain, their notification channel, their data on who's at which session and what sponsors they're interacting with.

A custom event app also changes the networking problem. Most conference attendees say the connections are the most valuable part — and most conferences make finding those connections nearly impossible. A searchable attendee directory with opt-in profiles, a "request to connect" flow, and in-app messaging that persists after the event turns a name badge into an actual professional network.

What we build

A branded event app that attendees download before arrival — with the schedule, session bookmarking, speaker profiles, attendee networking, sponsor content, and push updates that replace everything that used to be on paper.

Branded schedule with real-time updates

Full multi-track schedule with room locations, session descriptions, and speaker bios — updated in real time from a CMS. Push notifications for schedule changes, room swaps, and announcements reach everyone instantly.

Session bookmarking and personal agenda

Attendees mark sessions they're planning to attend and get reminders 10 minutes before. Your data team sees which sessions are most anticipated before the event even starts.

Attendee directory and networking

Opt-in attendee profiles with role, company, and interests. In-app connection requests and direct messaging that continue post-event.

Sponsor hub with activation tools

Per-sponsor content pages, product demos, targeted push notifications (with audience filter by attendee type or ticket tier), and engagement analytics — the data sponsors need to justify their investment.

Live polls, Q&A, and speaker interaction

Session-level audience questions submitted from the app, live polls during keynotes, and speaker session ratings collected in real time. Built with Expo and React Native, Convex for real-time schedule and messaging, Stripe if in-app ticket upgrades or add-ons are needed, and a simple CMS for your event production team to manage content.

Why fixed-price

Why Fixed-Price Matters Here

Event management is deadline-driven in a way that no other industry matches. The app needs to launch 3 weeks before the event for pre-download push, be fully loaded with content 1 week before, and have zero critical bugs on opening day. Fixed scope with a hard delivery date is the only way to make that calendar work — variable-cost builds with undefined end dates don't fit a May conference.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Yes — the app is designed as a multi-event container. Each event has its own schedule, sponsor set, and attendee list. Past events remain accessible in the app as an archive.

Sponsors get a login to a web dashboard that shows content page views, push notification open rates, and attendee directory profile views attributable to their brand. Data is available in real time during the event.

The schedule, speaker bios, and sponsor content are cached locally so the app functions in areas with poor Wi-Fi or cellular coverage. Real-time features (live polls, messages, push notifications) require connectivity.

A branded attendee app with schedule, bookmarking, networking, sponsor hub, and push notifications typically runs $60k–$100k. Multi-event licensing or white-label for agency resale adds scope. Fixed-price.

Minimum 14 weeks from kickoff to App Store approval. We recommend 16 to 18 weeks to allow for content loading, sponsor portal setup, and pre-event testing with your team.
